Little Bird back on the road after mammoth weekend of markets

After one of their busiest weekends this year, Little Bird is back on the road again for another round of markets in Easingwold and Boroughbridge. Staff and traders are taking a few days to rest and restock before they do it all again this weekend.

Little Bird delivered a mammoth weekend of markets, that saw 250 traders set up their stalls over the 4 days at Harewood House, Tadcaster, Knaresborough and Harrogate. The Winter Artisan Market at Harewood House had 110 traders each day set up around the lawn with magnific views of the House and gardens. The event proved to be a great experience for both traders and customers, with lots of positive feedback received.

A visitor explained “We had a really lovely day at Harewood market. Some amazing things for sale, and really friendly and enthusiastic traders. Even the dog loved it! So well organised, we loved that the stalls weren’t all squashed together. Thank you”

Crayon Box, who was one of the traders stated “Being part of a new market is always a gamble but with a venue as beautiful as this I decided it was one to take. And of course, this event did not disappoint. The customers were all so lovely and the feedback from them along the way was amazing. Sign me up for next year, please”

Managing Director of Little Bird Made, Jackie Crozier added “This has been one of the biggest events Little Bird has done so far and we made a lot of traders and customers happy this weekend. It has always been our aim to provide opportunities for traders to sell their products and promote their businesses and for customers to meet the people behind the products and support small local businesses. What better way to do this than in an amazing setting, like this weekend in Harewood House, Knaresborough Castle and Valley Gardens, we really do provide shopping opportunities with a view!”

This weekend Little Bird will be back with their monthly outdoor artisan market in Easingwold on Saturday and for the pop-up market in partnership with Yolk Farm Shop in Boroughbridge on Sunday. Yolk Farm has several other attractions which will all be open on Sunday, including Minskip farm shop and restaurant, animal farm and alpaca experience, so it will be a great day out for all the family along with over stalls with lots of lovely Christmas presents all waiting to be bought.

The markets on the weekend can be found at the following locations:

  • Saturday 12th November, 9am – 2pm, Market Place, Easingwold YO61 3AA

  • Sunday 13th November, 9am – 4pm at Yolk Farm, Minskip Rd, Boroughbridge YO51 9HY

All our markets are a great day out for all the family, even your pets. They are outdoors, so please dress appropriately for the weather conditions. We also encourage everyone to attend safely, to protect both traders and members of the public.
